NVIDIA Optimus: using 2 graphics cards in notebook

Notebooks with 2 graphics cards we’ve discussed before but this time it comes from Nvidia have announced the Optimus Technology. With Optimus technology, a notebook can have 2 graphics cards in it is one which is a standard graphics card and another graphics card with better performance.
The use of these two graphics cards can we choose, for example if only being used for typing, maybe we can use a standard graphics card, so the battery will last longer. And when used for playing games or editing photos, graphics cards can use the other one.
