In the future, you can watch TV or browsing just using contact lenses, is just a dream? Obviously not, because the Babaz Parviz from the University of Washington are developing a prototype contact lens that has functions as a computer monitor for the purposes above. Opto-electronic contact lenses have an “LED screen” to display the image / text and a transmitter to receive all the images sent wirelessly. For the hardware itself, contact lens can receive signals from a mobile phone or other. Opto-electronic contact lenses will also be used for purposes in medicine like to monitor their diabetes through the eyes of the patient.
