Proforma 3D Scanner: 3D applications using ordinary webcam
Proforma 3D Scanner is a 3D scanning system that using ordinary webcam to “catch” the object to be scanned. And through these pro forma application, the object will be automatically created 3-dimensional shape similar to the original. How to use them is also quite easy enough to rotate the object so slowly webcam can “catch” all the details well. Proforma is an acronym for Probabilistic Feature-based On-line Rapid Model Acquisition is being developed by Pan Qi from Cambridge University and hope this application can be sold in the near future.
Proforma actually can not change the 3D scanner that we often see, but at least enough to accommodate the needs that do not actually need a pretty good quality. Proforma application itself will be issued in the Windows and Linux versions later.
